Creation of four Practice teams sparks expansion for court & spark

Since court & spark was founded in 2004 we’ve centred our business on always ensuring that we can meet the needs of our clients. This year, in response to the increasing scope of assignments that our clients are briefing us to handle, we have expanded our operations to create four dedicated practice areas specialising in Retail Operations, Head Office, HR and Main Board appointments.

Operating within defined practice areas enables court & spark to provide clients with dedicated capability and expertise, in addition to enabling us to operate beyond our retail sector roots across a number of complementary sectors and functional areas such as Finance, Marketing and E-Commerce.

As part of this restructure we’re really excited to introduce our new Main Board practice which is headed up by Fiona Davidson who joined the court & spark team in January 2012. Find out more about Fiona here, or read our Spotlight On article which takes a more detailed look at our new Main Board Practice capability which clients can access.

Pauline Wood says: “Claire and I are really excited that we have expanded our capability in order to provide court & spark’s clients with dedicated expertise that their assignments demand. Over the last few years we have also seen contacts returning to brief us who have moved into roles outside of the retail sector which has fuelled our expansion outside of our core market. In turn, we have seen an increase in executive search assignments within complementary industries so our new Practice structure will enable us to respond to demand from outside of our core retail sector focus, particularly in relation to HR & Main Board appointments.”
